Kevin Bond resigns as Southend United boss after six defeats to open season

Southend United have accepted the resignation of Kevin Bond to the 2019-20 year old after a dreadful start.
The Shrimpers have lost their League One matches and sit in place, using Bolton below them because of their 12-point deduction for going into government.
Chairman Ron Martin satisfied with Bond on Friday and meeting concluded tendering his resignation.
Bond helped guide Southend on this 2018-19 campaign’s afternoon to security and had taken control.
“Kevin is a sincere professional trainer with huge expertise in the industry. His accomplishments in keeping the club in League One last season needs to be acknowledged and will be remembered from the club’s supporters,” Martin explained.
“Unfortunately the euphoria experienced at the end of this season has not translated to the pitch so far this year.
“However, I remain confident that the players we have at Southend United, for instance, powerful signings produced by Kevin Bond, will enable a successful year under the guidance of a brand new supervisor.
“The search for that person begins now.”
